The brine tank is an important part of the water softener. If the brine tank is used for a long time, it will easily lead to the crystallization of the brine tank at the bottom, which makes the work efficiency of the brine tank poor. This will cause a layer of dirt to accumulate around the inside of the water tank, and the water quality will be very poor. It cannot meet the standard of drinking, so we need to clean the brine tank in the water softener regularly.
How to clean a water softener brine tank?
Fully automatic water softening equipment generally needs to be used for a period of time to clean the salt tank. In the future, industrial salt will be used for the reconstruction of epoxy resin. There are residues in industrial salt, and more residues will affect the actual effect after a long time. Therefore, The brine tank in the fully automatic water softening equipment should be cleaned regularly.
The working process of the automatic water softening equipment is that when the raw water with high hardness flows through the resin layer in the equipment, the resin will absorb calcium and magnesium ions in the water, so as to achieve the purpose of softening the water quality. When the adsorption capacity of the resin reaches saturation, the brine in the salt tank will clean the resin layer, thereby reducing the adsorption capacity of the resin. Therefore, the technological process of fully automatic water softening equipment is summarized as water production, loose bed, regeneration, small cleaning, and large cleaning. It is not difficult to see from the working process of the fully automatic water softening equipment that the cycle participated by the salt tank is pine bed and regeneration. So when cleaning the salt tank, just avoid these two processes.
When the user cleans the salt tank of the fully automatic demineralized water equipment, it should be done after 2-3 hours after the solid salt cannot be seen through the peephole of the salt tank. First open the filter valve at the bottom of the salt tank to prevent moisture, remove the filter screen in the tank, and then insert a drinking water plastic pipe into the salt hole for cleaning. Finally, put the strainer upright and close the filter valve at the bottom of the salt tank.
It is inevitable to use industrial salt to clean the brine tank regularly, but this operation can be avoided if the industrial salt with high impurities is replaced with special salt for softening water. HUAYU’s soft water salt does not contain impurities, and its regeneration capacity is much higher than that of Industrial salt, with high density, is more durable than industrial salt.
When you change the salt in your brine tank in the future, make sure the salt level is always a few inches above the water level. Just make sure to loosen any encrusted salt that may be stuck to the rim of the tank and break up any large chunks before adding new grains of salt.
Keep in mind that the salt needs a little time to sit in the saltwater pool and start to dissolve before it can regenerate (approximately 2 hours). When regeneration begins immediately after adding salt to the brine tank, the water softening resin may not have been sufficiently cleaned during regeneration.
How does the brine tank refill?
When the salt in the brine tank is nearly used up, then the brine valve is closed and the minerals and resins are flushed down the drain with clean water. Rapid Rinse - A rapid flow of water through the resin tank and rinses the brine from the bottom of the tank to clean the brine tank. Brine Makeup - Water is sent directly back to the brine tank and mixed with salt.
